Danny Morris-Talk about filling someone else's shoes; Danny Morris is the former Nighthawks guitarist who replaced the well-known Jimmy Thackery. Now on his own, he combines blues, rock and surf in just about that order, meanwhile showcasing his unique bag of tricks. From twanging surf to R&B classics, North Carolina native Morris plays reverb soaked blues.
      It's an interesting twist on an essentially roots-based music where Dick Dale and Duane Eddy meets Stevie Ray Vaughn and Johnny Winter. Only an accomplished guitarist like Danny could even pretend to pull that off.
